Information and Terms and Conditions
For these terms and conditions, the following words shall have the following meanings:
The Owner or Company will mean “Bicester Recovery and Transport”. The “Client” or “Customer” will mean the person or organization for whom the Company agrees to carry out works. The “Driver” or “Recovery Operative” will mean the employee or representative of the Company performing the work for the Customer. The Company reserves the right to refuse or decline work at its own discretion. Where the Company agrees to carry out works for the Customer those works shall be undertaken using a person of the Company’s choice at its sole discretion.
General
- The Company is not liable for damage caused by environmental issues.
- Additional charges apply to all jobs where addresses are given incorrectly or changed by the Client.
- An emergency return journey is not always guaranteed where the person at the given address refuses delivery.
- We do offer a service where a basic visual vehicle check is given but we are not responsible for any parts missed and cannot make recommendations on purchasing a vehicle.
- For vehicles that cannot be loaded due to incorrect descriptions, issues with vehicles, incorrect weight or size or any other reasons out of our control the agreed price for the job will still be payable.
- For vehicles that have been misdescribed but can still be loaded will be subject to additional charges that will be explained at the time, if these additional charges are not agreed by the client, then the job will be cancelled and the full quoted amount due.
- Any jobs cancelled by the client with less than 3 days’ notice will still be payable in full. 4-5 days’ notice is charged at 50% of the job cost. 5 days + will be a discretionary amount decided by the owner but no more than 50%.
- 30 minutes wait time is expected at each job, this allows time for the vehicles to be located and loaded, anything over this time is billed at £40 per hour. The first £40 will be billed as soon as the Driver has been on site for 1 hour
- Rescheduled jobs (date changes) will carry an additional charge of £50+VAT if we do not receive at least 5 days notice.
Recovery from the Roadside
- Payment is due before dispatch of recovery vehicle.
- It is the client’s responsibility to accurately describe the condition of their vehicle to ensure the correct Recovery Operative and recovery equipment is sent to the job. If the client misrepresents the condition of their vehicle and we are unable to recover it, they will still be liable for the full cost of the recovery as quoted.
- If the client misrepresents their vehicles condition and the job takes longer than expected or additional work is required, they will be liable for further costs that will be explained to them at the time.
- If recovery of the vehicle will cause any damage or additional damage to the vehicle, we are not liable to cover any costs for repairs. If the client is not happy for the recovery to go ahead due to risk of damage, they will remain liable to pay the full recovery cost.
- The client remains responsible for their personal safety during the recovery of their vehicle.
One off Movements
- Payment for one off vehicle movements is due on or before collection of the vehicle.
- For vehicles that have been misdescribed but can still be loaded will be subject to additional charges that will be explained at the time, if these additional charges are not agreed by the client, then the job will be cancelled and the full quoted amount due.
- Vehicles are unable to be loaded until payment is received.
- Any wait time incurred will be charged at £50 per hour.
Car Transportation Monthly Clients
- Clients with multiple and ongoing vehicle movements can request to be billed monthly, this is at the discretion of the owner and not guaranteed to be offered.
- All monthly invoices are due to be paid within 1 month of receipt of the invoice.
We will be entitled to add interest on a weekly basis on any amount not paid within the specified timeframe. Interest will be charged at 8% of the balance overdue.
